Introduction
The Cable Partial Discharge Monitoring System monitors real-time partial discharge signals occurring within cable systems by installing partial discharge monitoring devices externally on cable accessories.
The front-end sensing part of the cable PD monitoring technology adopts high-frequency sensing PD detection technology, characterized by high detection sensitivity, strong anti-interference capability, accurate positioning, and strong installation adaptability. Through the construction and application of the partial discharge analysis module and expert database, quantitative results are directly provided after analyzing and computing the raw data, localizing the partial discharge positions. It can detect parameters such as discharge quantity, frequency, phase, etc., and replay the evolution trend of partial discharge. Users can grasp the size and trend of partial discharge inside cable accessories at any time, effectively assess the operational safety of cables, discover operational defects in advance, and improve line safety.
Partial discharge signals are transmitted to the monitoring center via optical fibers (or wireless transmission devices), and the analysis system analyzes and judges the type and level of partial discharge, evaluates the impact of partial discharge, assesses the insulation status of equipment, and provides corresponding equipment maintenance and repair guidance.

The system mainly includes Cable Partial Discharge Monitoring Expert Database Software, PD Monitoring Host, Communication Network, PD Collector, PD Sensor, etc.
The sampling frequency band of the system is in the high-frequency band, with strong on-site anti-interference capability.
External design, suitable for existing cable systems, can be retrofitted or modified later.
Main Functions
1. Can read the collected data, real-time display of any data of the entire system, and can display average, maximum values, etc., according to user-set requirements.
2. Professional graph analysis function: including PD amplitude accumulation graph, PD data display, single-cycle graph data display, short-term trend display graph, and various two-dimensional, and three-dimensional graphs, etc., and can perform data horizontal comparison, and overlay comparison between different icons.
3. Precise analysis software, through PD amplitude and phase correlation comparative analysis, eliminates interference signals, achieves precise data analysis for data trend analysis of the same monitoring point, and records alarm events.
4. Extract the characteristic values of partial discharge signals, such as time characteristics, frequency characteristics, discharge time intervals between different types of discharges, etc., and use these features to identify different discharge types.
Other Functions
1. Replay function: can replay historical data, can replay individual data, or can replay multiple data.
